Assessments

The first and most important step is determining what students know, therefore eliminating the need to cover material they have already mastered. Initially, each student is given a specific subject assessment which targets their current academic strengths and weaknesses. Based upon the results, a comprehensive, individualized lesson plan is created to meet their academic needs. This allows student academic needs to determine the instructional planning, as opposed to the more traditional educational methods where teachers, text materials, or curriculum determine what students should be learning. Upon completion of the program, students have shown significant and consistent improvement in their academic performance.

Curriculum

Back To Basics is committed to providing the most effective, proven, and research-based educational program available today. The curriculum we use is aligned with the Georgia Performance Standards (GPS) and meets the objectives and guidelines set by the Georgia Department of Education.
