About Us

Back To Basics, Inc. is a licensed and insured tutoring company providing one-on-one and small-group instruction for all students – kindergarten through adult. Our tutors work with students in your home or in small groups of no more than eight students in a non-competitive environment (library, community center, group home, etc.).

For the past ten years, Back To Basics has been providing successful tutorial services to students in the state of Georgia. Since 2002, Back To Basics has been approved by the Georgia Department of Education as a provider of Supplemental Educational Services (SES) through the No Child Left Behind program. Students in the Atlanta Public School system as well as Clayton, DeKalb, Fulton, and Henry Counties have benefited from our tutorial services.

In addition, Back To Basics has worked with the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) in DeKalb, Fulton, and Henry counties as well as the Independent Living Program (ILP) in DeKalb county. We have also provided academic programs and training classes for adult learners in many areas such as college prep, career development, and life skills.

All tutors, as well as administrators at Back To Basics, have submitted to and passed extensive background investigations. Our tutors are experienced, state-certified teachers or degreed professionals with a passion for making a difference in the lives of ALL students.
